Responsibilities Calibrate and draw up radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients; formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits.

Calibrate instruments and review calibration data to detect trends indicating instrument malfunction. Calculate data to include results of patient studies and radioactive decay Evaluate recorded images for technical quality. Process computerized image data to include function curves and reconstructed SPECT images.

Maintain inventory of supplies in assigned area; prepare and maintain records concerning radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing and disposal activities. Perform required QA/QC functions, including monitoring Nuclear Medicine Department with portable Geiger Counter for possible contamination. Perform Nuclear Cardiology studies including image acquisition and processing and monitoring patient vital signs.

Coordinate and participate in a variety of technical procedures, operate radiation detection and measurement instrumentation including stationary imaging devices, and scintillation gamma cameras. Qualifications Job Requirements: Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology with advanced training Graduate from a Nuclear Medicine training program in a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (NM) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB or CNMT) or Registry Eligible. If registry eligible, must pass registry within one year of hire. Active BLS certification
