The Advanced Field Service Engineer II repairs, maintains, tests, and calibrates complex diagnostic imaging equipment/systems to ensure its safe and proper operation: systems include CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine and Angio Cath systems. The Advanced Field Service Engineer II maximizes patient safety by supporting the proper use, application and operational performance of patient care equipment. The Advanced Field Service Engineer II performs scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) according to hospital policies, procedures and industry-recognized standards, using specialized test equipment, tools, and simulation devices.
The Advanced Field Service Engineer II maintains, services, troubleshoots and calibrates a variety of complex diagnostic imaging systems by using manufacturer service manuals, schematic diagrams, and vendor expertise. The Advanced Field Service Engineer II identifies the most prudent means of repair based on clinical need and cost. The Advanced Field Service Engineer II documents all service events, performance tests and corrective maintenance according to department policy, using computerized maintenance management software applications and other standard office software applications. The Advanced Field Service Engineer II communicates effectively with customer(s) using various communication tools, to establish rapport with staff and to keep clinical staff and appropriate clinical management informed as to the status of repairs.
The ideal candidate for the Advanced Field Service Engineer II role will be able routinely travel to other Baylor, Scott & White facilities to assist with scheduled and unscheduled service activities. The ideal candidate for the Advanced Field Service Engineer II role will also have knowledge of computer systems and networking.
