Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Grandview Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama
Job Type: Part Time
Job Summary:
Grandview Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Radiology team. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures while ensuring patient safety and compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines. This position requires a high level of technical proficiency, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, including but not limited to bone scans, cardiac scans, and PET scans.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
Operate and maintain specialized nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality of images.
Process and analyze acquired images, providing accurate and detailed information for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with physicians and other medical staff to determine appropriate imaging protocols and patient care plans.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or eligible for certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) preferred.
Previous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Additional certifications, such as ARRT(N) or ARRT(CT) preferred.
CPR certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
