Responsibilities

Cardiovascular Medicine has an immediate opening for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of the equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases.

The technologist is able to independently perform job functions. He/she sets up the equipment to provide imaging service and positions patient for the procedure.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: Graduate of AMA approved School of Nuclear Medicine.

Required Minimum Experience: Twelve (12) months experience in this field is preferred.

Required Minimum Certification Certified Nuclear Med Tech. Current BLS.

Required Minimum Skills:
Competency in all aspects of Nuclear Medicine, patient positioning, exposure factors and radiation protection.

Must have an understanding of anatomy and pathology as to how they affect the quality of a procedure. The individual must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language and display a positive attitude

Responsibilities Kennestone Regional Medical Center has an immediate opening for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT), who functions under the direction of the Chief Technologist or Site Manager. The NMT assists with providing safe, age appropriate care to the patient by performing all exams provided by the department according to department procedures. The technologist has the knowledge and ability to properly and safely obtain a quality diagnostic study. He/she is responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of the equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases. The technologist is able to independently perform job functions. He/she sets up the equipment to provide imaging service and positions patient for the procedure. Weekends required! SCHEDULE: Every Weekend 6am - 6:30 pm Saturday and Sunday. One On Call Day per week. Qualifications Required Minimum Education: Graduate of AMA approved School of Nuclear Medicine.
