Join a leading energy partner's team as an Electrical Design Engineer and make an impact at a prominent nuclear facility As part of the Corporate Design Engineering (CDE) department, you'll contribute to high-quality design solutions that support risk reduction, equipment modernization, and plant upgrades across multiple nuclear sites. Key Responsibilities:

Design Development: Define and develop scope, technical basis, installation, and testing requirements for engineering design changes, including AC/DC power systems, large AC motors, transformers, switchgear, and more. Issue Resolution:

Research engineering and design challenges, evaluate alternatives, and present recommendations for effective problem resolution. Ongoing Support: Support design changes through work order reviews, corrective action programs, and field installation assistance.

Documentation: Create or update design specifications, technical requirement documents, and complex engineering calculations affected by design changes. Safety and Compliance: Develop safety screens and evaluations, and revise site design basis documents, design drawings, and regulatory documents as needed.

Position Requirements: Experience: 15 years in the nuclear industry with expertise in Electrical/I&C design modifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a relevant BS degree with substantial work experience Skills:

Strong ability to research engineering issues, evaluate alternatives, and make well-founded recommendations. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Security Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear facility, including General Employee Training, Radiation Worker Training, and Security Clearance checks. Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide technical guidance to engineering and implementation teams. Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineer: Registration/licensure as a Professional Engineer Plant Experience: Experience with electrical/I&C/digital engineering in a nuclear setting Regulatory Knowledge:

Familiarity with 10CFR50.59 regulations regarding nuclear facility modifications Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of ETAP software Cyber Security: Understanding of nuclear industry cyber security control practices Design Process:

Experience with standard nuclear industry design processes Current Projects/You will likely lead or support initiatives such as: Replacement of 4kV Non-Segregated Bus with Cable Bus Installation of Safety-Related Alternate Battery Chargers Motor Operated Valve Replacements Nuclear Security System Upgrades Transmission Line Panel Upgrades 4kV to 480V Transformer Replacements HVAC System Upgrades At BCS, our Talent is Finding Yours.
