Nuclear Construction Manager Subject Matter Expert

At least ten years of experience performing work that is similar in scope to the work described below:

• Review drawings, specifications, design documents, Non-conformance Reports (NCRs), Field Change Requests (FCRs), Corrective Action Reports (CARs), and Requests for information (RFI) processes. Provide input to the evaluation of the appropriateness and completeness of these products to the Federal Project Director (FPD).

• Provide expertise and recommendations to FPDs in planning, managing, and executing construction activities in operating nuclear facilities and in the implementation of DOE specific design, safety, commissioning and operating requirements.

• Evaluate work and design packages for cost reasonableness and provide recommendations to the Government, facilitate resolution of technical issues between facility operator, the project personnel and NNSA.

• Assist the Government with field oversight of construction activities, ensure work control processes and procedures are effectively implemented and optimized, and that work is safely and effectively coordinated with the facility operations team.

• Participate and assist the Government in oversight activities in the testing, commissioning and transition to operations of various mechanical and glove box systems in the operating facility and provide input to the FPD in these areas.

Requirements

Experience at a NNSA or DOE nuclear site preferred

Current DOE Q Clearance or be able to obtain/maintain a Q Clearance
