Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Tubular Products Birmingham is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Production Department Administrator. The Production Department Administrator will report directly to the Plant Manager and will work straight days Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Timely and accurately reviewing of teammate timesheets
Calculating production bonus
Entering purchase requisitions
Preparing production department reports
Scheduling and coordinating meetings
Planning and organizing team events
Maintaining files
Assisting with administrative needs across the division
Maintaining training records

This position does require some offsite travel to pick up supplies, materials, and meals for meetings and other events. The successful candidate will need to be flexible to changing work demands, able to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities, and focused on customer service. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years administrative experience or comparable education.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
4 years of administrative experience in a professional setting.
Associate's degree in business, finance, or another related field.
