RAINN operates a 24/7 confidential sexual assault crisis support hotline called the National Sexual Assault Hotline (NSAH). To accommodate the continuous onboarding of new staff and volunteers, the NSAH coach coordinator will build an intensive 90-day onboarding coaching practice and guide NSAH coaches as they help staff and volunteers develop the skills and confidence they need to be successful on the hotline.
In collaboration with NSAH management staff, build and update evaluation criteria, program framework, and tracking system to ensure that NSAH coaches effectively onboard new staff on the online hotline.
Inform the coaching process for new staff by utilizing the crisis intervention model best practices, including safety planning, brainstorming, and listening skills.
Create a system of regular check-in meetings and processes to ensure that NSAH shift managers and volunteer program staff are informed of new staff's progress.
Train and provide ongoing guidance to NSAH coaches, to help them address core knowledge or performance gaps and strengthen core skills, ensuring proficiency on the online dashboard, mandatory policies, and protocols, and building overall confidence.
In collaboration with the volunteer program manager and NSAH program manager, create and regularly update a coaching schedule for new paid and unpaid staff.
Lead meetings with NSAH management to discuss ongoing needs of new staff.
Liaise with Victim Services training team to identify and improve onboarding training for incoming staff and volunteers.
Be available to host occasional debrief sessions with new staff and/or NSAH coaches after coaching sessions on the online hotline.
In collaboration with the NSAH coaches, determine the length of the coaching period for each volunteer within their first 90 days.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience;
2+ years experience in the field of social services, or crisis hotline/intervention experience (paid or volunteer work);
Experience developing program structures and evaluation criteria;
Must have been a former or active part-time or full-time RAINN hotline support specialist for at least twelve consecutive months;
Must have completed at least 1000+ active hours on the OHL;
If a current hotline support specialist, must not have received disciplinary action in the last 6 months of employment in the hotline role;
Possess high level of organization and attention to detail;
Must feel comfortable providing constructive feedback to a diverse group of individuals
Resiliently positive and energetic attitude, with the ability to successfully work on a team and independently.
Possess ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with volunteers and fellow RAINN employees.
Ability to exercise good judgment when faced with complex decisions;;
Must demonstrate examples of empathetic responses, effective communication, and successful skills exchange;
Must demonstrate superior writing skills;
Must pass a criminal background check, administered by RAINN.
Must be 18 years of age or older; and
Experience training staff is a plus.

Must have vision correctable to a level where individual can operate a computer; visualize text on a computer monitor.
