If so, consider becoming our Natural Resources Building (NRB) Access Coordinator & Receptionist (Primary). As the NRB Access Coordinator & Receptionist (Primary) you are the first person people will meet while visiting the Natural Resources Building. Located in a secure reception station on the 1st Floor of the NRB, this position serves the Department of Natural Resources, as well as the three other tenant agencies in the NRB; the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife (WDFW); Department of Agriculture (Ag) and the Recreation & Conservation Office (RCO).Responsibilities:
Greets visitors to the Natural Resources Building;
Answers the NRB Reception main telephone number;
Answers routine questions from visitors about agency business and procedures;
Maintains consistent reception desk office hours and ensures coverage of the NRB reception desk during all business operating hours;
Interacts directly with agency staff, visitors, contractors, the environmental community, and other stakeholder groups;
Exercise situational awareness, communicate and collaborate with agency's leadership, DES Capitol Campus Security & Visitors Services, WSP Campus Security, WDFW Law Enforcement, DNR Police Chief, Fire, and Emergency Medical first responders, to identify, stay informed, recognize, and appropriately respond to potential and actual security threats;
Serves as the primary contact for the NRB Parking Administration Program for DNR agency vehicles stationed at the Olympia Headquarters and 6 regions across the state;
Utilizes an enterprise-level visitor management software system called iLobby, assisting visitors, vendors, and employees with checking in, checking out, and identifying and connecting with the appropriate host employee;
Utilizes Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, MS Teams, DES BEARS Access and Card Key application, Adobe Acrobat, and other computer software programs to communicate, compose, draft, design, edit, share, and disseminate data and documents in which proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, accurate data entry, and protocol are applied;
Other Duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in office clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administration work.
Ability to use Microsoft Office software at the intermediate level, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Exercise sound professional judgment regarding confidential and sensitive information and situations encountered within the course of business operations.
Professional written and verbal communication skills including accurate spelling, grammar, word usage, sentence structure, document formatting, and the ability to articulate all necessary information to customers in person and/or over the phone.
Experience in multi-tasking and working independently, in a busy environment, with strong attention detail.

Associate degree or higher, preferably in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Office Technology & Administration, or similar field.
Genuine commitment to providing superior customer service.
Effective, professional, and ethical interpersonal communication skills.
Build and maintain successful working relationships with key points of contact in multiple agencies.
Self-initiative to structure and collaborate relief coverage schedules for the NRB Access Desk, with other staff, as needed.
