Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner's training program, certification, and a current licensure by the state.

CPR certification

Responsibilities:

Performs advanced patient assessments and seeks consultation of the physician for patients conditions outlined in agreement.

Demonstrates a commitment to personal growth and development; ensures that appearance and personal conduct are professional at all times and complies with all organizational policies.

Arranges referrals to other members of the health care team as needed and to community resources as appropriate.

Orders, performs, and interprets tests within the provider's scope of practice.

Demonstrates awareness of current state, federal and local laws governing the delivery of care.

Provides for therapeutic treatments and procedures as per delegation of services agreement.

Provides open and timely communication with customers, families, and their significant others and provides educational resources as appropriate.

Ensures timely review of services provided as determined by the providers state licensing board by the providers supervising physician.

Maintains license, certification and CME as dictated and regulated by the provider's state licensing board and TCRH, Inc.

Demonstrates knowledge and compliance of TCRH, Inc. bylaws.

Completes required in-services in a timely fashion.

Participates in the development and implementation of patient satisfaction improvements.

Ensures appropriate charge levels for patient visits based on AMA standards.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Standing, sitting, walking, bending (45-90 degree angles) are required.

May require stair climbing.

Must be able to communicate effectively and in written form.

Exposure to blood, body fluids and hazardous waste is moderate to frequent and must carry out universal precautions according to policy.

May be exposed to injury by irrational or disturbed customers, to customers with communicable diseases and/or potentially dangerous equipment.

Speech, hearing, and visual acuity necessary in order to perform job requirements.

Must be able to prioritize; have cognitive reasoning.

Maintain harmonious relationships with nursing personnel, medical staff, hospital administration, and all hospital departments Essential Functions Assist with combative patients or visitors to protect patients, employees and the facility Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards Utilize rapid and effective judgment in responding to emergency situations Prepare safe landing zone for helicopter patient transport Make building and parking lot rounds, utilizing a Watchman's clock Warn violators of policy infractions, such as loitering, tobacco use, carrying forbidden articles, etc. Ability to adjust thermostats, replace light bulbs and perform light maintenance duties Ability to operate the fire alarm system and know how to operate the sprinkler system Maintain responsibility for all facility keys Display good judgment, dependability and reliability. Complete assignments in a timely manner. Maintain high standard of confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations During inclement weather, clear sidewalks and walkways as needed to prevent falls Ability to operate two-way radios Must hold a valid driver license Ability to fill out a daily log in a manner that is legible Functional Demands Lift unassisted 50 lb. and carry 20 ft.
