Summary:

Performs medical evaluations of patients presenting to the ED/Clinic/Inpatient to include neglect, physical and sexual abuse examinations. Serves as a liaison to Child Protective Services, multidisciplinary agencies and law enforcement in medico-legal related care.

Education & Experience

Graduate of an approved accredited school of nursing. Master of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of two years experience as a registered nurse in direct pediatric care.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas. Recognition from the State Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advanced Practice Nurse. Certification as a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner.
