A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Supports all purchasing and planning activities for the Mechanical R&D team. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity.

  • Works with Mechanical R&D to assist in the procurement of materials and equipment for NPI Projects (includes but not limited to raw material, prototype tooling, test equipment and fixtures).

  • Enters all requisitions via Coupa.

  • Follows up with approvers to ensure timeliness of order placement.

  • Expedite orders with suppliers based on project timelines.

  • Utilizes ERP system for pre-production inventory purchases when appropriate.

  • Onboard suppliers via Tandem's supplier management portal (Coupa)

  • Initiates MNDAs and coordinates revisions between supplier and the Tandem legal team

  • Works with the Supplier Quality Engineering team to obtain documents as required.

  • Serves as the liaison between R&D and Legal for all supplier agreements and SOWs.

  • Manage incoming NPI material ensuring proper disposition of received material.

  • Attends R&D weekly scrum meetings.

  • Responsible for monitoring, tracking, and reporting on all aspects of NPI material receipts.

  • Responsible for returning any rejected material to suppliers and follow up for failure investigation analysis.

  • Communicate priorities to RI and production to ensure project timelines and goals are met.

  • Working with R&D, create a forecast for raw material and builds to support Engineering project requirements (quarterly)

  • Coordinates with pump and cartridge production to support Engineering builds.

  • Coordinates any material returns and follow up with failure investigation activities with suppliers.

  • Works with direct supply chain to ensure smooth transition into production life-cycle.

YOU'RE AWESOME AT:

  • Some exposure with ERP systems.

  • Basic Knowledge of principles outlines in Quality System Regulations (QSRs/ GMPs).

  • Proficient data entry skills.

  • Experience with capital equipment and MRO purchases.

  • Familiar with supply chain procurement flow

  • Able to effectively convey information related to work product in one on one conversation or in a group.

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Able to alter behavior and opinions in light of new information.

  • Experienced with MS Office and Internet.

EXTRA AWESOME:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience
  • 4 years experience (preferably in medical device industry, but not required)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $70,000 - $88,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate's location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.

Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts.
