SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager with experience in managing new product introduction (NPI) in the medical technology space. This includes full program responsibility and continuous customer involvement. The successful candidate will own cross functional resource optimization, collaboration, and deployment needed to assure highly effective product launches. This includes, but not limited to medical technology scope of metal stamping, injection molding, coils and electromechanical assembly, test, supply-chain, and quality initiatives.

This person must have the ability to manage the RFQ process and work with customers and internal teams on successful execution. Innovate and execute product plans from multiple stages of the product life cycle and drive successful closure of all critical actions. Optimally align business objectives with engineering core competencies and maximize global team effectiveness. Creatively navigate complex cross functional challenges with global teams related to business, quotations, operations, and engineering.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, manage, and execute global Project Schedules that include internal as well as customer milestones.

  • Lead global, cross-functional teams taking products from RFQ stage to mass-production.

  • Ability to manage the RFQ process and work with customers and internal teams on successful execution.

  • Act as liaison between team members to ensure clear communication and support of common team goals.

  • Manage project deliverables, product performance, timeline, and cost.

  • Drive local and remote development and operation teams to achieve project deliverables.

  • Proactively update management on project status and potential challenges prior to them becoming problems.

  • Innovate, develop, and maintain NPI documentation and process improvement.

  • Measurably improve overall system execution through local and global engineering optimizations

  • Plan and execute the most optimal budget spending, material efficiency, engineering effectiveness, and resource utilization.

  • Regularly review and report performance against project plans and standards

  • Effectively coordinate and collaborate with other departments to achieve superior approaches to solving challenges.

  • Actively work with other business units to understand customer needs and future market trends.

  • Visit and collaborate with customers on strategic and innovative methods to manage and execute products.

POSITION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Master's Degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a Program Manager at a MedTech contract manufacturer

  • Prior Experience in program management, leadership, and proven ability to drive deliverables of global, cross-functional product development teams.

  • Established administrative, and management skills including people and processes.

  • Proven collaborative management style that clearly advocates team concept.

  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse personalities, demonstrating superior tact, and management maturity.

  • Proven ability to be credible and decisive, while remaining supportive of organization's preferences

  • Superior communication skills, including proven mediation techniques of large diverse global teams.

  • Proven track record of successfully launching products is a must.

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (metal stamping, injection molding, machining, and electromechanical assemblies)

  • Must possess detail orientated and excellent oral/written communication skills.

  • PMP certification preferred.

  • Must be based out of Itasca HQ.

  • Travel up to 5 %
