We are hiring full-time Order Selectors, Loaders, and Expeditors to join our team!

Required and Preferred Knowledge for ALL POSITIONS:

  • Experience with Infor WMS and operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, high reach truck), preferred

  • High School Education or equivalent with ability to read, write, and understand English required

  • Requires high degree of attention, skill, and dexterity in operation and safe control of warehouse equipment

  • Ability to interface company-wide with peers, team members, other departments, all levels of Management and external customers and vendors

Starting Rate for ALL POSITIONS: $15.00 per hour guaranteed during training period, Overtime pay for any hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week

Schedule: Full time Monday - Friday, 2nd shift (11:00am or 1:00 pm until work is complete)

Approx. 40 hours per week, with the willingness and ability to work some overtime as necessary.

Order Selectors:

The Bulk Order Selector accurately fulfills customer orders by selecting, moving and loading products (e.g. bags of dog/cat food, cases of cans, litter) from warehousing racks and storage areas onto pallets both manually and using material handling equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to safely and solely bend, lift, move materials up to 50 lbs. repetitively and continuously throughout shift

  • Candidate must have the ability to read, write and understand English, including identifying numbers

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Candidate must have reliable transportation, flexible schedule, solid attendance and a positive, professional attitude

  • Experience and Certification for an electric pallet jack a plus

  • Building pallets properly, neatly and efficiently to ensure product is not damaged upon delivery

  • Cleaning aisles and work areas

Expeditors:

The Bulk Expeditor accurately replenishes pick locations with products (e.g. bags of dog/cat food, cases of cans, litter) and rotates inventory throughout the warehouse using warehouse equipment including reach truck and forklift.

Essential Functions:

  • Check racks for new damage and report to management

  • Replenish the designated secondary pallet staging locations for Bulk (Order) Selectors

  • Forward any inventory discrepancies to Inventory Control

  • Receive and perform cleaning/leveling assignments

  • Maintain clean and organized work area

  • Perform functions, accountabilities and supporting activities while complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations

Loaders:

The Loader/Checker is responsible for ensuring all outgoing orders are accounted for, audited and loaded into the trailer in a safe, secure and accurate manner.

Essential Functions:

  • Read work orders and receive verbal instructions for work assignments including:

  • Outline the orders for picking and review/print "Estimated Loader Report", "Weekly Door Sheet" to map and outline Load Sheet

  • Confirm trailer assignment, complete inspection report, position dock plate and endure trailer is clean

  • Confirm, customer information, order numbers, pallet count and wrap outgoing orders

  • Load trailer/route ensuring proper weight distribution

  • Load assigned frozen tubs for each route and load transportation equipment (e.g. power jack, hand truck)

POSITION SUMMARY: This is an Operations position responsible for supervising the activities associated with night warehouse operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the supervision of order selection, product replenishment, order loading, ensuring safety and security of the warehouse and providing management and direction to assigned warehouse staff. RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises the daily work and safety of employees engaged in order selection, product replenishment, order loading, including all warehouse functions, selectors, loaders and night forklift operators. Supervises labor hours and consumable supplies within budget. Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed. Supervises the proper utilization of Company assets in support of the warehouse. Coordinates required repairs with proper departments as necessary. Review night warehouse functions and various warehouse productivity reporting. Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with implementation of changes within night warehouse. Conducts shipping and loading audits daily ensuring all required documentation is accurately completed (including HAACP, food safety and catch-weight documentation) and that material is handled and stored correctly with a minimum potential for loss. Assist with monitoring sanitation and facility/racking damage to ensure a safe and clean warehouse. Assist with the training of new associates, including cross training of existing associates. Maintains associate relations through regular department or pre- shift meetings; maintains on-going interaction; keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures; monitors associate morale; and submit and respond to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement. Interprets trains and consistently enforces Company policies and procedures. Coordinates efforts with Safety department to aid in training, conducting associate observations, up-dating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes, and routine safety inspections. Makes recommendations for disciplinary action and/or behavior modification where required. Performs management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and/or terminations. Performs the duties of employees supervised and other related duties as needed.
