The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Nosology Services Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Respond to inbound customer support calls for medical/surgical coding, editing and grouping problem resolution which will require extensive research. Provide customers with well written responses including educational resources.

  • Assume responsibility for handling varied customer issues, inquiries, and problems with regard to 3M HIS software

  • Building credibility and trust with 3M HIS customers and department by providing solutions to software issues, inquiries and problems

  • Support the 3M team processes and participate on cross functional and Six Sigma teams

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in supply chain in lieu of the bachelor's degree education requirement

  • Five (5) years medical coding experience

  • AHIMA Coding Certification: RHIA, RHIT or CCS

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Existing VA/DoD Clearance

  • Knowledge of VA/DoD coding guidelines

  • Expert knowledge of current published ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, as well as other established industry standard coding guidance such as CPT Assistant and the American Hospital Association's (AHA) Coding Clinic

  • Expertise in working with multiple groupers such as MS-DRG's and APC's

  • Expertise in working with the NCCI system including edit resolution

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Understanding of health care industry

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Location: Remote

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: is not authorized
