Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This role is responsible for providing customer centric focus, further improve the relationships between the zone field teams and the Education Organization, and improve the bi-directional flow of information from the field, the CS organization, and the factory.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Demonstrate not only excellent clinical and product knowledge, but at the same time also has a proven track record in excellent interpersonal skills in difficult customer environments with outstanding communication skills internally and externally.

Healthcare Industry Knowledge

Has deep knowledge of the healthcare market, developments and trends

  • Knows the business of healthcare ownership, structure, reimbursement, regulations, capital markets, operating margins, key legislation, products, technology, etc.

  • Foresees how developments and trends could impact the healthcare industry, customers, and Siemens business environment

Product Knowledge

Detailed knowledge of all product offerings (MR and Education Services), equipment specifications/technical features, clinical applications and service options.

  • Has knowledge of peripherals (if applicable), interfaces, compatibility, networks, and other IT related components

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serves as the first and primarily contact with defined key strategic accounts

  • Expands relationships with senior customer management to achieve and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

  • "Owns" the customer

  • Understands customer hierarchy and dependencies


  • Coaches members of the sales team (Education PSE's, Modality PSE's, etc.) to help them reach their full potential

  • Guides and trains newly hired Clinical Education Specialists, introduces them into business

Specific Routine Activities Anticipated

  • Image quality escalations to include but not limited to: customer workflow, protocol adjustments, etc requiring intervention beyond standard education

  • Quarterly review (with Clinical Practice Head and Zone AVP) of customer satisfaction in assigned accounts

  • Quarterly review (with Clinical Practice Head and Zone AVP) of Zone sales strategies in target accounts

  • Work with Zone AVP/PSE within zone to cover Competitive Conversion accounts during turnover (this include pre-work to understand customer's expectations prior to turnover training)

  • System turnover's to ensure proficiency on new technology and clinical procedures

  • Develop and implement strategy with Zone Education PSE's to drive new education sales opportunities.

  • Work with Education Services product management and marketing to gather market intelligence and execute commercialization of existing offerings.

Education and/or Experience

  • BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and experience specifically in a healthcare environment or healthcare sales environment.

  • Understanding of healthcare education marketplace, preferably relative to diagnostic imaging and therapy.

  • Excellent communication skills verbal, written, ability to present.

  • Demonstrated ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization.

  • Experience working with or for large IDNs

  • Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities

  • Ability to think strategically and influence decisions with key business leaders

  • Must be results-driven, action oriented and passionate about making a positive customer impact while balancing business needs.
