DuPont Safety is seeking a North America Sales Leader Defense. The North America Regional Sales Leader for Defense will serve as a champion to capture new market opportunities while proactively defending/growing strategic accounts that deliver value across the enterprise. The successful candidate will ensure the implementation of the global market segment strategies while ensuring the execution of differential management principles and optimized demand planning processes.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Driving the growth of DuPont products into the Defense market space

  • Lead regional direct reports in the execution of sales best practices

  • Develop account strategies across all defense related markets such as Law Enforcement and US Military

  • Foster Sales Excellence throughout the global sales team via proactive coaching

  • Manage the opportunity pipeline to achieve targeted growth objectives

  • Partner with other regional sales leaders to align on strategic goals of the enterprise

  • Build strategic relationships at key accounts

  • Drive the Challenger sales approach within the sales team

  • Identify and drive business opportunities to exceed revenue, profit and growth targets

  • Collaborate and network with other Safety & Construction regional sales leaders

  • Establish strategic relationships with Global Market Managers & Industry Vertical Leaders while providing input into the global business strategy

  • Ensure the adherence to all DuPont Core Values

  • Sales Experience (5 years minimum)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Business

  • Experience with Salesforce.com

  • Demonstrated ability to network, build strong relationships with the C-suite and key industry/market influencers

  • Experience leading and influencing large teams/projects while accomplishing defined goals/objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to understand the needs of customers and the development of solutions to satisfy/retain end-users

  • Strong desire to exceed results by exercising sales leadership/influence, taking initiative, overcoming obstacles and finding creative solutions

  • Ability to work in and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment

  • Ability to interact at multiple levels within the customer organization inclusive of senior management

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter, collaborator, strategic-thinker and highly motivated

  • Minimum 50% travel

This position will be home office based with sales professionals and customers located throughout North America. This role is expected to travel at least 50% across North America with the potential for some limited international travel.
