Advanced Safety and User Experience encompasses our deep expertise in software, centralized computing platforms, advanced safety systems and automated driving focusing on five areas that are transforming mobility: Safety Electronics, Infotainment, User Experience, Autonomous Driving and Connectivity & Security.
We have an exciting opportunity for a North America Account Manager Security & Connectivity to work in Troy, MI (relocation offered within the USA). In this role, you'll be responsible for selling Connectivity & Security products to one or more of the major OEM's.
Develop Relationship of Major North America Customer:
Main interface to Customer Purchasing
Drive customer relationships at engineering working level and support senior level discussions
Develop customer power maps of key decision makers
Proactively develop strategies to maintain and grow business
Understanding and influencing what drives economic value for the customer
Firm grasp of vehicle development life cycle and cadence of new platforms
Understanding of market share at customer
Maintain Current Book of Business:
Manage customer change requests via the PCE (Product Change Evaluation) process
Provide accurate volume forecasting (near term 1 - 18 months; and long term 5-year business plan)
Monitor and facilitate resolution of payment past dues
Seeking opportunities for cost/profit improvement
New Business Pursuit:
Deliver Booking Plan for Business Unit and forecast new opportunities
Lead team in pursuit strategies
Lead and establish firm quote offers to customers; provide cost breakdown
Negotiate price and business terms; bring sales to closure
Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge & experience with Aptiv's Product Development Process and Enterprise Operating System
Develop customer plan for sales meetings. Define goals for each stage within the sales cycle.

3 + years of Sales experience with the Automotive industry
3 + years technical experience
Strong presentation and communication skills (oral and written) for internal and external presentation.
Self-motivated and dependable individual who knows how to prioritize work and delivery quality and timely deliverables with limited management oversight
Decision making ability, with sound business acumen and clear understanding of the market and financial impact.
Structured thinker with ability to analyze data and draw recommendations / conclusions; confident in presenting recommendations.
Excellent command of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
