Advanced Safety and User Experience encompasses our deep expertise in software, centralized computing platforms, advanced safety systems and automated driving focusing on five areas that are transforming mobility: Safety Electronics, Infotainment, User Experience, Autonomous Driving and Connectivity & Security.

We have an exciting opportunity for a North America Account Manager Security & Connectivity to work in Troy, MI (relocation offered within the USA). In this role, you'll be responsible for selling Connectivity & Security products to one or more of the major OEM's.

Responsibilities:

Develop Relationship of Major North America Customer:

  • Main interface to Customer Purchasing

  • Drive customer relationships at engineering working level and support senior level discussions

  • Develop customer power maps of key decision makers

Customer Strategy:

  • Proactively develop strategies to maintain and grow business

  • Understanding and influencing what drives economic value for the customer

  • Firm grasp of vehicle development life cycle and cadence of new platforms

  • Understanding of market share at customer

Maintain Current Book of Business:

  • Manage customer change requests via the PCE (Product Change Evaluation) process

  • Provide accurate volume forecasting (near term 1 - 18 months; and long term 5-year business plan)

  • Monitor and facilitate resolution of payment past dues

  • Seeking opportunities for cost/profit improvement

New Business Pursuit:

  • Deliver Booking Plan for Business Unit and forecast new opportunities

  • Lead team in pursuit strategies

  • Lead and establish firm quote offers to customers; provide cost breakdown

  • Negotiate price and business terms; bring sales to closure

  • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge & experience with Aptiv's Product Development Process and Enterprise Operating System

  • Develop customer plan for sales meetings. Define goals for each stage within the sales cycle.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates for positions with Aptiv must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 + years of Sales experience with the Automotive industry

  • 3 + years technical experience

  • Bachelors' degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong presentation and communication skills (oral and written) for internal and external presentation.

  • Self-motivated and dependable individual who knows how to prioritize work and delivery quality and timely deliverables with limited management oversight

  • Decision making ability, with sound business acumen and clear understanding of the market and financial impact.

  • Structured thinker with ability to analyze data and draw recommendations / conclusions; confident in presenting recommendations.

  • Excellent command of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

In this role, the candidate will work together with TE's Automotive organization by providing tooling support for new and existing product programs as well as extensive education and training on application tooling. He/she will also maintain an assigned direct customer base in the Michigan/Ohio area. Responsibilities & Qualifications Responsibilities will include the following: * Provide tooling support for new and existing automotive product programs. * Provide extensive training and tooling product awareness to TE's Automotive Business Unit - Product Managers, Sales and Industry Marketing personnel * Participate in trade shows, tech days, seminars, industry trade organizations, district and regional sales meetings in order to identify opportunities of where application tooling can support for new and existing technologies * Identify Automotive Key Accounts and develop account plans for penetration and execution * Identify, evaluate and develop sales leads for new products, extensions of existing products and new sales channels for application tooling * Develop and implement strategies for the assigned accounts to ensure maximum revenue and profitability * Maintain a high level of awareness in regards to industry trends and competitive activity within the territory * Develop and maintain relationships at multiple levels in the customer base to position TE as a strategic partner to the customer * Develop and implement programs and methods for encouraging generation of new product and application ideas * Collaborate with Marketing on Product MARCOM strategies to effectively promote new and existing products * Reporting directly to GATD Regional Sales Leader.
