Part-Time Noontime Aide

Centerville Middle School & Landisville Middle School

Job Summary: Provide supervision to students in the cafeteria to ensure a safe environment.

Position Information:

• Part-Time, no benefits

• Monday through Friday work schedule; 184 days per year

• 10:00 am - 1:15 pm, 3.25 hours per day

• Hours may vary based on the daily schedule

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision to large groups of students in the cafeteria, gym and outdoor recreational area during lunch and recess.

• Coordinate lunch dismissal of students at appropriate times.

• Disinfect tables and chairs in the cafeteria. Clean up spills and remaining litter as needed.

• Encourage good manners and appropriate student behavior.

• Assist students and staff as necessary.

• Communicate with teachers and the principal concerning issues that arise.

• Monitor work area for unauthorized persons and follow established protocol.

• Maintain seating charts and record attendance on rosters for all lunches.

• Monitor student interactions and positively intervene when students need corrective action.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent necessary

• Current Child Abuse background check
