Demand Intelligence - Demand Assessment, Translation, Analytics Associated

Key Responsibilities

WWOps Demand representative physically located with Business Managers and Business Units Key Participant in Demand Delivery Leadership Team with responsibilities to lead specific workstream as defined by project. Innovates new approaches to Demand Mining and translations of signals.

  • Work with Accounts / customers, SMI, BU Nodal sizing group to mine outer quarters (6-18 months) demand

  • Demand assessment and translation to BP / Parts demand (Plan for Every Part Project)

  • Involve in integrated planning that combine demand planning with market sensing, strategic capacity and supply management

May contain work with GIS to develop and implement systemic processes to enable Demand translation from upstream to factory. Uses and develops data analytics in partnership with Master Scheduling team to enable effective BU S&OP level discussions. Provides input regarding metrics under development. Creates and monitors metric action plans. Required to learn and use Kinaxis Rapid Response for demand interpretation and analytics development to enable WWOps agility.

  • Build Plan Scenarios based on different market inflection, customer ordering patterns and supply readiness.

Reports to Michelle Cooper, Managing Director, Central Operations Dotted line reporting/partnership with Master Scheduling/Central Operations, and Sr. Director, GFG Works in partnership with BU, BMO, GFG, COO's, GIS, Central Operations, and Ops Heads.

Functional Knowledge

  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in own job family and basic knowledge of other related job families

  • Program management skills/experience

  • Analytics, Tableau, Excel skill sets

Business Expertise

  • Working knowledge of Forecasting, Master Scheduling, Operations and Supply Chain, practices across SPG
  • Working knowledge of Analytics, data presentation and data analysis.

Problem Solving

  • Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions

  • Ability to perform in ambiguous & stressful environment

Impact

  • Impacts the achievement of effective and improved forecasting practices for Applied Materials.
