Novant Health Child & Adolescent Medicine Waxhaw is seeking a Nonregistered Clinical Lab Tech

• The Nonregistered Clinical Lab Tech performs and evaluates a variety of routine tests on clinical specimens. Utilizes accepted quality control techniques with the aid of automated, semi-automated and/or manual methodologies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, Required.

• Experience: Six months work experience, Required. Phlebotomy experience, computer background, knowledge of medical terminology, formal training and/or experience performing routine laboratory testing; Preferred.

• Licensure/Certification: Eligibility for phlebotomy certification, Preferred.

• Additional Skills (required): Must be able to meet competency standards for the established menu of tests. Have the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
  
  Ability to operate equipment both at sitting levels and/or standing levels. Flexibility and adaptability to work additional hours or shifts. Effective communication skills-listening, writing, talking, reading, via telephone, and Lab Information System.
  
  Ability to work efficiently and accurately. Ability to organize and plan work. Work effectively under stress.
