NON CDL DRIVER
Reports To: Transportation Operations Manager FLSA Status: Non Exempt Job Family: Classified Pay Range: Classified Range 9 (Max placement is midpoint) Prepared/Revised Date: June 7, 2022 Job Code: TBD Hours Per Day: 4 Work Calendar: 173
SUMMARY: Responsible for driving students to and from schools located outside of the Weld RE-4 School District. Other routes may be assigned that do not require a CDL driver. Some of these routes may span a distance of greater than 50 miles (one-way)
DISTRICT QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver's License with good driving record
Small Vehicle Training Completion
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive routes that do not require a CDL
Maintain and promote professional defensive driving attitude
Daily pre and post trip inspections
Maintain proper student discipline per Board policy
Maintain appropriate communication with supervisor, school and parents regarding student behavior
Assist transportation department with other duties, including utility work such as cleaning vehicles, building, and equipment, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent sitting due to potential long routes
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
Possess a valid Colorado Driver's license
Must possess a current first aid and CPR card. Employee must have a current DOT physical.
Employee could be subject to drug and alcohol screening
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: At-will employee. Work year and hourly rate to be established by Board of Education. Vacation/leave time/benefits will be established according to Board policy
