Duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Conduct psychosocial assessments; coordinate, monitor, evaluate and advocate for appropriate services and level of care. • Maintain an active caseload of individual, family and/or group clients in order to meet assigned productivity level. • Develop appropriate person-centered treatment plan to address the clients current psychosocial, mental health and substance use issues. • Monitor and evaluate client treatment progress according to measurable and date-specific goals and objectives stated in clients treatment plan. • Ensure the timely completion of assessments, treatment plan reviews and discharge summaries to ethically manage the beginning, middle, and end phases of therapy. • Provide individual, family, and group therapy. • Meet with clients in their home, other treatment facilities, detention facilities, BH office or other setting as deemed appropriate by supervisor. • Participate on care coordination meetings to address the needs/progress of clients. • Participate as a member of clinical team that meets weekly in order to present cases for clinical feedback and direction. • Provide or coordinate culturally appropriate services as requested by the client. • Provide as appropriate support, consultation, and education for families, friends and others who may have contact with client with the goal to maximize benefits and minimize problems associated with integration in the community. • Build rapport quickly and effectively with clients and their families. • Track and report data for required grant reports. • Complete documentation in accordance with policies and procedures. • Active learner and supporter of Anishnabek culture and traditions. • Demonstrate a commitment to cultural programming by learning of cultural teachings, participating in and coordinating cultural activities for clients, and by providing continuous support for the enhancement of the culture, language, and traditions. • Demonstrate behaviors gifted and described by the 7 Grandfather Teachings. • Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with Tribal Operations & Behavioral Health policies and procedures. • Learn Emergency Policies and Procedures and participate in required drills. • Work cooperatively with internal and external professionals and paraprofessionals while utilizing local and tribal resources. • Participate in cultural and community events and activities on a regular basis. • Work a flexible/adaptable schedule, includin

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: • Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Human Services or related field. • Limited licensed individuals who can obtain licensure within two years for date of hire. • Experience in working collaboratively across multiple disciplines, organizations, community systems, and a diverse population. • Must have demonstrated diagnostic/assessment skills, therapy skills and crisis intervention skills. • Excellent computer and communication skills. • Must be able to pass background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position. Desired Qualifications: • Full Licensure. • Two years demonstrated mental health and co-occurring therapy experience with adults. • Knowledge of Native American traditions and culture.

License, Certification, or Special Requirements: • Obtain HIPAA certification within five business days from date of hire. • Must have a valid Michigan Drivers License and must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Drivers License and qualify for coverage by SCIT auto liability insurance carrier. • Native American preference shall apply to all positions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of patient evaluation and plan of care procedures. • Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards. • Knowledge of patient outreach services and activities. • Knowledge and understanding of clinical social work or mental health counseling principles, methods, procedures, and standards. • Knowledge of the Recipient Rights Advisor processes and refers clientele as applicable. • Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and 42 CFS part 2. • Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and EMR. • Skill in analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations. • Skill in conducting interviews, and individual and group therapy sessions with empathy and enthusiasm. • Skill in making effective decisions in emergency situations. • Skill in maintaining accurate records. • Ability to organize and prioritize work load. • Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively with clients and their families. • Ability to integrate training, experience, and common sense sufficient to identify potentially dangerous situations to resolve the situation with minimum injury to self or other persons. • Ability to communicat
