YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Bayer Animal Health, Label Coordinator I, are to:

PLEASE NOTE: While the successful candidate will be classified as a regular full-time at will employee, this role is viewed as a project assignment for a limited duration. While no definite period of employment is being offered, the current estimate is that work associated with this project work would be completed no later than end of year 2021.

  • Coordinate label and package requirements of the Regulatory, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Package Development, Production, and Technical Services departments to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product to market including: label information to customers and regulatory agencies, as well as, the information on the product package for all Animal Health and contract manufactured products;

  • Work in compliance with requirements of Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT) and foreign government agencies, as well as, third-party customers in assuring proper archiving and retrieval of product labeling documentation in supporting regulatory compliance and product registrations;

  • Coordinate with appropriate internal or external, Regulatory Affairs department to ensure clear and concise labeling that is scientifically sound and meets Bayer HealthCare and government standards.

  • Advocate any changes and benefit to Bayer HealthCare LLC and the industry;

  • Coordinate creation of all labeling artwork for decorated packaging, meeting the specifications established by regulatory, advertising, marketing, package development, traffic, and foreign agencies in addition to meeting the production schedule defined by production planning and/or contract manufacturing;

  • Ensure timely delivery of accurate labeled packaging for product production;

  • Coordinate project activities to create or revise correct artwork while minimizing the lead-time required for developing artwork;

  • Be responsible for quality assurance of labeling development and approvals and for ensuring that up-to-date notifications and label approval sheets are available to the appropriate departments;

  • Review and approve artwork, and proofs of plates, to ensure compliance with specifications established by the appropriate regulatory, marketing, package development, manufacturing, traffic departments, foreign entities, and printers. Vendor audits may be necessary to ensure the quality printing of Bayer's product labeling;

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma with at least two years of directly related experience in one or more of the following fields: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or Information Technology;

  • Basic working knowledge and understanding of regulations by government agencies affecting the pharmaceutical industry Code of Federal Regulations (CFR's);

  • Familiarity with labeling components and veterinary pharmaceutical products;

  • General knowledge of graphic art principles;

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, and Documentum based applications;

  • Proficient in project management, multitasking, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree;

  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or GMP environment.

In this role, you will initiate and coordinate the label approval process to authorize labeling production for all products processed and/or sold by the division through the creation and modification of product text and graphic information. You will also verify necessary information for production of every labeling component for the company and its contract and third party manufactured products. Continuously improve the approval process for labeling to reduce lead-time and enhance the company"s competitive position by increasing flexibility in meeting market opportunities. You will ensure orderly and efficient utilization of manpower and resources to meet all Animal Health standards as well as standards required by the Federal government (FDA, EPA, and DOT). Liaison between multiple departments and external vendors assuring that all internal customer requirements are met. Label Coordinator II job duties: 1. Interactions with representatives from printing organizations during the formulation and/or revision of artwork needed for Animal Health products and products produced by Animal Health. 3. Interactions with internal (domestic and international) customers as well as third-party customers in assuring proper archiving and retrieval of product labeling documentation in supporting regulatory compliance and product registrations Qualifications: * BS + 4YRS * Bachelor"s degree or equivalent combination of academic training plus three to five years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, without a degree. * Position requires a basic working knowledge and understanding of regulations by government agencies affecting the pharmaceutical industry (CFR"s). * Familiarity with labeling components and veterinary pharmaceutical products is also beneficial. * General knowledge of graphic art principles, as well as proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, and Documentum based applications. * Highly proficient in project management, multitasking and extremely detail oriented.
