The Night Supervisor/Manager will be responsible for serving customers by planning and directing food preparation, supervising the kitchen staff, greeting and assisting customers, and maintaining supplies, equipment, and sanitation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides appealing meals by designing menus
Selecting daily "specials"
Anticipating food consumption
Placing and receiving food orders
Evaluating the quality of meats, poultry, fish, fruits, vegetables, and baked goods
Directing food preparation and cooking procedures
Ensuring kitchen food production
Monitoring cold and cooked food quality
Complying with sanitation and legal regulations
Satisfies customers by responding to special requests; resolving complaints; maintaining a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in the caf.
Training team members and communicating job expectations.
Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
Five or more years culinary experience required.
Large production experienced preferred.
Typical Physical Demands:
Work requires some computer usage
Regular lifting of 25-50 pounds.
Extended periods of time standing.
Schedule must be flexible for varied days/shift pending business need.
