Job Summary: The Night Supervisor is responsible for the complete operations of the store when a more senior level manager is not present. This position will be scheduled primarily on 3rd shift to manage tasks that are typically reserved for nighttime shifts, occasionally position will be scheduled on 2nd shift based on business needs. This position will make appropriate recommendations to the store management team regarding any store concern or opportunity. Where applicable, this position will assist the management team with managing the fuel offer.

Principal Duties:
1.Ensure exceptional customer service is being delivered. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries in a courteous and timely manner. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and solicit customer feedback and input.
2.Ensure execution of established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies and standards. Demonstrate knowledge of and follow Wawa's Crisis Management procedures when necessary.
3.Provide direction, motivation, and coaching for associates during the shift.
4.Recognize associates and celebrate accomplishments.
5.Enforce Wawa's cash handling and accountability processes and perform manager functions on register.
6.Administrate check-in of external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.
7.Exhibit a working knowledge of store equipment and ensure facility and store conditions meet established standards.

10.Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors frequently throughout a shift: reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling and pushing
11.Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
12.Ability to learn and utilize the store's technology
13.Must have reliable transportation
14.Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for this role
15.Ability to direct others and prioritize tasks

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Ability to work 35 40 hours per week

  • Ability to work primarily third shift with an occasional 2nd shift, weekends and holidays, based on business needs

  • Experience leading, developing and selecting teams preferred

  • Experience effectively implementing change and demonstrated results in execution

  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment preferred

  • Experienced in all areas of store operations, including foodservice

  • Proven and consistently demonstrated skills in the following:

  • Exceptional Customer Service

  • Relationship Building

  • Effective Communication

VIEW JOBS 4/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-18T00:00 Reporting to the Director of Residence Education and during summer conferences, to the Assistant Director for University Conference Services, this position is primarily responsible for the leadership, implementation, and coordination of the night staff receptionists program in the residence halls. This includes hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating approximately 40 staff members in the residence halls and providing relevant programs pertaining to community safety. This position supervises those who perform community rounds and work at the residence hall front desk assisting in the administration, service and security of the residence halls. The manager coordinates and facilitates the resources, policies, procedures, and programs necessary to support the education and safety of residents, guests, staff, conference clients, and the assets of Housing and Residence Life (HRL). The Manager works in close partnership with all HRL staff and the Old Dominion University Police Department to ensure adequate staff coverage of the residential communities between the hours of midnight and 5 am daily. Minimum Qualifications Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and basic internet tools. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to being client-centered and provide quality service. Demonstrated ability to build a strong team and work effectively with others. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse work environment and collaborate with campus colleagues, students, and faculty. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of residence hall living on a college campus or experience working in a student housing program. Some experience providing student centered social awareness and health/safety related training. Some experience planning/providing crisis management in emergency situations. Baccalaureate degree in education, sociology, criminal justice, or related field, preferred but appropriate experience related to safety acceptable as an alternative.
