Job Summary: The Night Supervisor is responsible for the complete operations of the store when a more senior level manager is not present. This position will be scheduled primarily on 3rd shift to manage tasks that are typically reserved for nighttime shifts, occasionally position will be scheduled on 2nd shift based on business needs. This position will make appropriate recommendations to the store management team regarding any store concern or opportunity. Where applicable, this position will assist the management team with managing the fuel offer.

Principal Duties:
1.Ensure exceptional customer service is being delivered. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries in a courteous and timely manner. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and solicit customer feedback and input.
2.Ensure execution of established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies and standards. Demonstrate knowledge of and follow Wawa's Crisis Management procedures when necessary.
3.Provide direction, motivation, and coaching for associates during the shift.
4.Recognize associates and celebrate accomplishments.
5.Enforce Wawa's cash handling and accountability processes and perform manager functions on register.
6.Administrate check-in of external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.
7.Exhibit a working knowledge of store equipment and ensure facility and store conditions meet established standards.

11.Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
12.Ability to learn and utilize the store's technology
13.Must have reliable transportation
14.Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for this role
15.Ability to direct others and prioritize tasks

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Ability to work 35 40 hours per week

  • Ability to work primarily third shift with an occasional 2nd shift, weekends and holidays, based on business needs

  • Experience leading, developing and selecting teams preferred

  • Experience effectively implementing change and demonstrated results in execution

  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment preferred

  • Experienced in all areas of store operations, including foodservice

  • Proven and consistently demonstrated skills in the following:

  • Exceptional Customer Service

  • Relationship Building

  • Effective Communication

RECEIVING/INVENTORY CONTROL SUPERVISOR (RICS) Job Summary Responsible for the supervision of the receiving department. Ensures the receipt and disposition of merchandise and inventory in the club, including processing paperwork, verifying merchandise, comparing receipts against purchase orders, and checking for damaged products/concealed shortages. Makes sure policies and procedures are followed within the department. May lead a team of Receivers and/or DDR Clerks. Primary Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities * Maintains the operations of the receiving department, including matching received inventory against purchase orders and reviewing discrepancies in received inventory. * Processes inbound and outbound shipments. Ensures all product pricing and signage is displayed. * Ensures radio frequency (RF) guns are used when receiving merchandise. * Makes sure all receiving paperwork is complete and accurate. * Separates pallets and verifies that pallets are in the correct selling or non-selling location. * Supervises Receivers and/or DDR Clerks. Acts as a mentor to team members in the receiving/inventory control department. Reports any issues to management. * Trains and develops team members. Assign, supervise and monitor the workload of each team member. * Assesses team member performance. Provide actionable feedback. Administer coaching for behavior and performance concerns for improvement. * Provide feedback for team member performance reviews * Participates in new team member interview process * Processes damaged/defective merchandise, including hazardous materials. * Completes receiving documents and other daily reports. * Maintains all club policies and procedures. * Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed. Qualifications * Forklift operator preferred. * Supervisory experience preferred. * Prior experience working in a big box receiving environment preferred. * Computer skills preferred. * At least 18 years of age. Job Conditions * Majority of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and/or stooping. * Continuously requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance. * Usually in a comfortable environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
