Job Summary: The Night Supervisor is responsible for the complete operations of the store when a more senior level manager is not present. This position will be scheduled primarily on 3rd shift to manage tasks that are typically reserved for nighttime shifts, occasionally position will be scheduled on 2nd shift based on business needs. This position will make appropriate recommendations to the store management team regarding any store concern or opportunity. Where applicable, this position will assist the management team with managing the fuel offer.

Principal Duties:
1.Ensure exceptional customer service is being delivered. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries in a courteous and timely manner. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and solicit customer feedback and input.
2.Ensure execution of established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies and standards. Demonstrate knowledge of and follow Wawa's Crisis Management procedures when necessary.
3.Provide direction, motivation, and coaching for associates during the shift.
4.Recognize associates and celebrate accomplishments.
5.Enforce Wawa's cash handling and accountability processes and perform manager functions on register.
6.Administrate check-in of external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.
7.Exhibit a working knowledge of store equipment and ensure facility and store conditions meet established standards.

11.Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
12.Ability to learn and utilize the store's technology
13.Must have reliable transportation
14.Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for this role
15.Ability to direct others and prioritize tasks

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Ability to work 35 40 hours per week

  • Ability to work primarily third shift with an occasional 2nd shift, weekends and holidays, based on business needs

  • Experience leading, developing and selecting teams preferred

  • Experience effectively implementing change and demonstrated results in execution

  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment preferred

  • Experienced in all areas of store operations, including foodservice

  • Proven and consistently demonstrated skills in the following:

  • Exceptional Customer Service

  • Relationship Building

  • Effective Communication

VIEW JOBS 2/25/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-05-26T00:00 Job Description The primary purpose of this position is to provide direction and assistance in the completion of daily merchandise and operating tasks and to perform such other duties as assigned by the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager. The incumbent is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and applicable laws. This position does not involve, hiring, firing, or disciplining associates or recommending any such action. Situations surrounding these issues should be brought to the attention of the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager. The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: * Provide superior customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs, handling all customer transactions in a timely and courteous manner, and responding to customer complaints/concerns with a sense of urgency to see to their resolution. * Attend to merchandising of plan-o-grams within seasonal departments, end caps, displays and basic inline departments as directed by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager. * Control inventory by performing proper receiving and stocking including accurate cycle counting, processing merchandise transfers according to procedures, and reporting inventory problems to the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager. * Accountable for store cash and other financial assets, reconciling cash register drawers, preparing deposits, and ordering changes from the bank as directed by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager. * Assist with the general maintenance and appearance of the store by ensuring a safe and pleasing environment for both customers and associates; respond to any unexpected emergencies to ensure the protection of company assets. * Oversee that store inventory is regularly inspected in accordance with the Product Freshness Review Schedule as directed by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager. * Ensure that all outdated product and product with less than 30 days until expiration is removed from the sales floor to be processed through the established returns process. * Manage tasks and supervise store associates in those limited circumstances when the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager is unavailable. Supervisory Experience This position involves managing tasks and supervising store associates in those limited circumstances when the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager is unavailable.
