Job Summary: The Night Supervisor is responsible for the complete operations of the store when a more senior level manager is not present. This position will be scheduled primarily on 3rd shift to manage tasks that are typically reserved for nighttime shifts, occasionally position will be scheduled on 2nd shift based on business needs. This position will make appropriate recommendations to the store management team regarding any store concern or opportunity. Where applicable, this position will assist the management team with managing the fuel offer.

Principal Duties:
1.Ensure exceptional customer service is being delivered. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries in a courteous and timely manner. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and solicit customer feedback and input.
2.Ensure execution of established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies and standards. Demonstrate knowledge of and follow Wawa's Crisis Management procedures when necessary.
3.Provide direction, motivation, and coaching for associates during the shift.
4.Recognize associates and celebrate accomplishments.
5.Enforce Wawa's cash handling and accountability processes and perform manager functions on register.
6.Administrate check-in of external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.
7.Exhibit a working knowledge of store equipment and ensure facility and store conditions meet established standards.

10.Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors frequently throughout a shift: reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling and pushing
11.Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
12.Ability to learn and utilize the store's technology
13.Must have reliable transportation
14.Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for this role
15.Ability to direct others and prioritize tasks

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Ability to work 35 40 hours per week

  • Ability to work primarily third shift with an occasional 2nd shift, weekends and holidays, based on business needs

  • Experience leading, developing and selecting teams preferred

  • Experience effectively implementing change and demonstrated results in execution

  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment preferred

  • Experienced in all areas of store operations, including foodservice

  • Proven and consistently demonstrated skills in the following:

  • Exceptional Customer Service

  • Relationship Building

  • Effective Communication

Position Summary The Pit Supervisor supervises the day-to-day activities of Pit. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by enforcing the company's safety policies and procedures, with close attention to HALOS and Drill & Blasting SOP's, as well as MSHA and other regulations. 1. Safety, Health, and Environmental. The Pit Supervisor is responsible for assuring compliance with all internal and external laws, regulations, and policies regarding safety, health, and the environment within the assigned area. 2. Employee Relations. The Pit Supervisor directs the activities of Pit personnel. This includes training, scheduling, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and when necessary, disciplinary procedures. The Pit Supervisor approves the time cards of the crew and makes sure each employee's time is accurate and charged to the correct cost account. 3. Cost Control. The Pit Supervisor continuously evaluates the performance and the effectiveness of the crew to look for opportunities for improvement. The Pit Supervisor should implement improvements within his/her scope of authority as soon as possible. Improvements requiring management approval should be presented to the Plant Manager with sufficient detail to justify cost. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge and understanding of practices of supervising production employees; knowledge and understanding of an aggregate plant operation; able to understand, interpret and apply policies and procedures; knowledge and understanding of MSHA rules and regulations; able to motivate and reward employees; able to develop and establish performance measurements for department; good organization and business planning skills; excellent problem-solving skills and practices. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as leadership and teambuilding skills. Ability to work well without direct supervision. Education and Experience High School Diplomas is required. BS/BA or equivalent combination of five years work experience in a crushing and screening operation and maintenance experience is preferred.
