Job Summary:
Assist in the operation, set up and maintenance of the Tube Park or Mini Snowmobiles. Maintains a clean and enjoyable atmosphere at all times and ensures guest compliance with safety regulations. =====================================================================

Applicants must be 18 years of age. As a prerequisite, a post offer background check is required.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
1.Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
2.Greet all guests and answers questions about Squaw Valley activities and equipment.
3.Assist in setting up activity equipment
4.Ensure all guest know the activity rules.
5.Conduct safety training and assists guests with becoming familiar with the operation of the activity, safety and procedures.
6.Rent equipment, process cash, credit cards or debit payments and account closeout at the end of the day.
7.Maintain the tube runs or snowmobile track, shovel or rake snow to provide a consistent surface
8.Maintain the cleanliness of the activity area; pick up litter and empty trash, snow removal as necessary. Ensure facility maintains a clean and professional appearance.
9.Assists with the cleaning, repair, inspection and maintenance of the activity equipment.

Competencies and Job Requirements:

Required:
1.Availability to work required shifts: December 26th

  • December 31st, January 2nd

  • 4th, Jan 11th, Jan 18th, Jan 25th, February 1th, Feb 8th, Feb 15th, Feb 22th, Feb 29th and March 9th.
    1.Effective communication skills, oral & written
    2.Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness
    3.Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
    4.Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards
    5.Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time
    6.Work well as part of a team.

Preferred:
1.Knowledgeable about all aspects of Squaw Valley or be able to locate information. Should have general knowledge of Alpine Meadows.

Education and Experience:

Required:
1.High School Diploma or GED
2.Previous experience working with the public

Preferred:
1.Experience operating heavy equipment such as Zamboni, holder, skid-steer and forklift in order to remove snow and clear Ice Skating Rink.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift.

Must be capable of frequently carrying, lifting. pushing or pulling up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be exposed to outside weather conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate to loud.

Equipment Used in Job: Snow tubes, ice skates, POS, fencing, shovels, rakes, mini snowmobiles

Assist manager in supervising a team of 20-35 employees. Assist in supervisory responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 3. Comply with Federal and California Labor law in all phases of the payroll and employment process; from hiring through termination, as well as all Company policies & procedures. 4. Enforce safety standards in accordance with company policies and procedures. 5. Ensure all employees display accurate cash handling skills, perform daily sales and close procedures, and achieve accurate daily deposits according to company and departmental policies and procedures 6. Assist in the resolution of all guest complaints; ensure guest satisfaction. 7. Assist with job performance evaluations by observing daily and overall job performance 8. Perform daily open/close procedures according to company policy and procedures and ensure the completion of day to day operational tasks. 9. Responsible for training and monitoring activities of recreation attendants 10. Inspect and operate equipment in compliance with the Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows safety policies and procedure to avoid unnecessary collisions or unsafe practices 11. Understand and develop an in depth knowledge of the products sold. These product categories include but are not limited to; Season Passes, Daily tickets, Adult and Children Ski School, and Resort Activities. 12. Perform all duties of recreation attendant Competencies and Job Requirements: Required: 1. Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization. 2. Excellent organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks. 3. Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and interact with others 4. Working knowledge of computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) 5. Willingness to learn RTP POS system Education and Experience: Required: 1. High School Diploma or GED 2.
