Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Owasso, OK Wednesday-Saturday 1900-0700
Main Duties: Perform tests in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, coagulation, and microbiology.
Assist with specimen processing as needed. Follow employer policies; work with fellow employees in a professional and productive manner; perform QC with appropriate follow-up action and instrument troubleshooting as needed. Must be able to work alone without immediate supervision. Additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge: A solid understanding of basic knowledge associated with clinical laboratory testing, including QA/QC is required for this position.
A successful candidate must possess good computer skills and be able to adapt to multiple computer systems. The candidate should be able to take instruction form a variety of sources without adversity.
Required Experience: AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Laboratory Science. ASCP MLS/MLT certification or equivalent or be eligible for national MLS/MLT certification.
Special Requirements: Ability to maintain a professional, courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress.

Good customer service skills, professional appearance and attitude are required. Weekend Rotation required. Be willing to work other shifts as needed.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
Frequent walking and/or standing.
May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.
