Night Custodial Foreperson

High School Diploma or equivalent. Black Seal License in good standing or must be obtained within 12 months of employment.

Valid motor vehicle operator's license required. Has received training or possesses knowledge in the following areas: Right-to-Know, HAZCOM, AHERA, Indoor Air Quality, BBP and other Health and Safety related requirements.

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer skills and working knowledge of WORD and EXCEL preferred. Experience in school custodial services and/or housekeeping; supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Ability to direct fellow workers in the performance of their job responsibilities; and instruct them in the performance of good custodial cleaning procedures. Ability to follow through on directives and job responsibilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to deal with school personnel, students, and outside visitors in a professional and courteous manner.

Good organizational skills, time efficiency, and ability to coordinate shift and overall custodial work load to run in a productive manner. Knowledge of plant operation and maintenance; proper handling of hazardous materials and possess the ability to make minor maintenance repairs as needed. Working knowledge of custodial equipment and procedures.

Reliable and trustworthy. Neat in appearance. Must meet all physical requirements for the position and be able to perform all essential functions of the custodial position. Minimum work related experience as determined by the board.
