Description JOB SUMMARY

The Night Auditor is responsible for computing, recording, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keeps accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions.

  • Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.

  • Makes daily deposits (as applicable).

  • Verifies room charges and rates; verifies register has appropriate starting cash.

  • Manages daily paperwork including occupancy report, guest list, cash drawer summary, balance sheet, account summary, history file, and housekeeping report.

  • Submits reports to corporate office as appropriate.

  • Performs duties of a Guest Service Agent.

  • Performs and documents security walks on a regular basis.

  • Implements proper procedures in emergency situations.

  • Assists in setting up breakfast area as directed; replenishes breakfast items as needed.

  • May be required to make management decisions in manager's absence.

  • Completes laundry as directed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE & CERTIFICATION

  • Minimum of one to three months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations; includes the ability to respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.

  • Ability to multi-task; strong organizational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of, and ability to, appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.

  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

  • Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written.

  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.

  • Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need.

VIEW JOBS 10/14/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-12T00:00 PURPOSE OF POSITION Under the direction of the Compliance Officer, the Internal Auditor contributes to the fulfillment of Aultman#s mission and vision as part of a team responsible for planning, designing, implementing and maintaining system-wide compliance programs, policies, and procedures.# Duties include the performance of audits and investigations related to financial, operational, and compliance issues.# This position will also promote an awareness and understanding of corporate compliance that is consistent with the values of the Aultman and as required by federal and state law. # RESPONSIBILITIES # EXPECTATIONS With a focus on financial and operational issues, this position will provide help provide reasonable assurance regarding the reliability of financial reporting, the existence of internal controls, and the safeguarding of Aultman#s financial and physical assets. Assist in the development of system-wide programs, policies, and procedures to help Aultman comply with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Maintain awareness of laws and regulations, keeping abreast of current changes that may affect Aultman through personal initiative, seminars, training programs, and peer contact. Assist in efforts to communicate Aultman#s compliance program, including written materials and training programs designed specifically to promote understanding of compliance issues, laws, regulations, and the consequences of non-compliance. Assist in the coordination of initial and ongoing education and training of employees and staff. Provide consultative support to all entities as appropriate. Design and perform compliance audits. Document procedures and findings in workpapers; Analyze findings and make appropriate recommendations; Communicate findings and recommendations in a written report. Perform monitoring activities as needed. Investigate issues that are identified or reported.# Establish the facts, analyze the results, and communicate the findings and recommendations. Identify potential areas of compliance risk. Assist in the development of the annual work plan. Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to inform senior management and the Audit Committee of the progress of compliance efforts. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Minimum of bachelor#s degree or equivalent education and/or experience. Experience in finance or accounting desirable. Computer knowledge including proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Analytical, oral and written communication, planning, problem solving, and personal diplomacy skills.
