The President Abraham Lincoln Springfield, a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel is set in the heart of historic downtown, Springfield, IL. Now seeking highly motivated people with a heart for service to join our Front Office team!

Full-Time overnight schedules, working from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.Weekends and holidays required.

What will I be doing?

As an Night Auditor, you would be responsible for ensuring audit work is balanced and completed in a timely manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Balance and code prior day's work and prepare daily operating sales and labor summary

  • Ensure the accuracy of night audit and complete sales journal information

  • Review and analyze all adjustments

  • Audit banquet tickets and reconcile to banquet orders

  • Route rebates, miscellaneous charges, promotional tickets and paid-outs

  • Maintain records and file and archive all documents in accordance with tax authority requirements

  • Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Keeps accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions. * Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity. * Makes daily deposits (as applicable). * Verifies room charges and rates; verifies register has appropriate starting cash. * Manages daily paperwork including occupancy report, guest list, cash drawer summary, balance sheet, account summary, history file, and housekeeping report. * Submits reports to corporate office as appropriate. * Performs duties of a Guest Service Agent. * Performs and documents security walks on a regular basis. * Implements proper procedures in emergency situations. * Assists in setting up breakfast area as directed; replenishes breakfast items as needed. * May be required to make management decisions in manager's absence. * Completes laundry as directed. * Other duties as assigned. RequirementsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE & CERTIFICATION * Minimum of one to three months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
