Basic Function

Provides exceptional service to all guests and potential guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, courteous and professional manner. perform all Front Desk related functions including but not limited to checking guests in / out, promoting sales related programs, maintaining guest records, cash handling, etc. Responsible for auditing the previous days receipts to verify and balance entries, runs reports and verifies accuracy of information.

May also assist with set up of Breakfast. May include food preparation, set up, service and / or cleaning. Only team member on property for the majority of the work shift and must be willing to and have the ability to work alone. Responsible for guest safety and security during overnight hours.

General Knowledge, Skill and Ability

Requires ability to take written and verbal direction and speak English clearly and read English. Requires ability to relate to the public in a warm, friendly manner in providing a hospitable environment. Requires ability to give attention to detail and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.

Requires thorough knowledge of Drury Hotels policies and procedures, for guest services. Requires ability to handle money, make change and utilize office machines in the normal day-to-day activities.

Must be willing to and have the ability to work alone as scheduled. At some locations, may be the only team member on property during work shift.

Mental and Physical Requirements

AGE: Must be at least 18 years of age.

EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in working with the public in a service industry or in related activities is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Requires ability to walk and stand during entire working period of 8 hours; requires ability to lift 10 - 15 pounds.

Working Relationships

  • Reports to the General Manager, Assistant General Manager or Front Office Manager.

Designs, develops and performs risk-based audit procedures, and reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of internal control processes. Supervises other auditors assigned to their individual projects to achieve quality standards and ensure successful audit execution. Recommends and submits reports to all levels of Management on identified corrections and needed control enhancements. Establishes strong partnerships with key stakeholders and actively promotes the Global Audit brand. Responsibilities * Assess key risks associated with operational, business, and client-related processes and activities. Recommend nature, scope and direction of proposed audits. Design audit procedures to assess control design, control effectiveness, and end results through a risk-based approach that is aligned with key business and audit objectives. Recommends revisions to existing procedures to enhance efficiencies or to capture changes in the risk posture. * Defines and owns communicated deadlines, encouraging self and team to execute against defined commitments. Takes accountability for deadlines and is able to embrace flexibility with a positive attitude while overcoming obstacles and barriers in order to meet deadlines. React appropriately to unexpected events or changes in direction; quickly makes adjustments as needed. * Assumes responsibility as a project leader for special initiatives and requests, providing advisory and consulting services to management. Recommends staffing requirements to complete the effort. Coordinates and directs activities of assigned auditors; ensures assigned work meets defined audit standards for quality and execution. * Provides training and mentorship to new auditors on key standards and practices that are employed within the department and across the company, while sharing expertise and lessons learned with others. * Seeks out and develops collaborative partnerships within and outside the department. Proactively communicates the Global Audit brand, providing control expertise, operating with the highest level of integrity, and proposing constructive solutions that improves control effectiveness and mitigates risk in support of business objectives. * Prepares timely, workpapers that support the nature, timing and extent of audit procedures performed and conclusions reached in accordance with applicable auditing standards. * Prepares timely, high-quality memorandums and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Able to succinctly characterize key audit objectives and scope of work; drive to root-cause for reportable observations; achieve management buy-in on the stated risk and finding(s); and liaises the report with appropriate stakeholders. * Determines use of statistical/bias sampling and software necessary to accomplish audit procedures. Obtains, analyzes and appraises supporting data utilizing various software applications. * Performs testing and walkthrough procedures to assess company compliance associated with key Sarbanes Oxley processes: reviews and analyzes the control structure, performs walkthrough and testing procedures, documents testing results that are reviewed by external auditors, and communicates results to the process owners and the Sarbanes Oxley team. * evaluates the adequacy and timeliness of management's response and the corrective action taken on significant audit recommendations. * Maintains continued professional education requirements and regular and predictable attendance. Demonstrates flexibility, perseverance, innovative thinking, teamwork and other positive attributes at all times. * Provides real-time feedback to those assisting on audits including preparation of performance evaluations on individual audit engagements. * Performs other duties as assigned.
