Basic Function

Provides exceptional service to all guests and potential guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, courteous and professional manner. perform all Front Desk related functions including but not limited to checking guests in / out, promoting sales related programs, maintaining guest records, cash handling, etc. Responsible for auditing the previous days receipts to verify and balance entries, runs reports and verifies accuracy of information.

May also assist with set up of Breakfast. May include food preparation, set up, service and / or cleaning. Only team member on property for the majority of the work shift and must be willing to and have the ability to work alone. Responsible for guest safety and security during overnight hours.

General Knowledge, Skill and Ability

Requires ability to take written and verbal direction and speak English clearly and read English. Requires ability to relate to the public in a warm, friendly manner in providing a hospitable environment. Requires ability to give attention to detail and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.

Requires thorough knowledge of Drury Hotels policies and procedures, for guest services. Requires ability to handle money, make change and utilize office machines in the normal day-to-day activities.

Must be willing to and have the ability to work alone as scheduled. At some locations, may be the only team member on property during work shift.

Mental and Physical Requirements

AGE: Must be at least 18 years of age.

EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in working with the public in a service industry or in related activities is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Requires ability to walk and stand during entire working period of 8 hours; requires ability to lift 10 - 15 pounds.

Working Relationships

  • Reports to the General Manager, Assistant General Manager or Front Office Manager.

  • Maintains and promotes a positive and cooperative work relationship with all hotel departments.

VIEW JOBS 11/15/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-13T00:00 SUMMARY The role of the Senior Internal Auditor is to evaluate control procedures, control risks and ensure the company maintains good financial controls in order to safeguard the organizations' assets and protect its reputation. The Senior Internal Auditor achieves this by working very closely with management teams across the different departments. RESPONSIBILITIES * Planning individual audits, defining audit objectives and preparing audit plans. * Completing on-site business audits, evaluating the effectiveness of controls and writing up reports detailing control deficiencies with appropriate remediation plans. * Interviewing business teams about working practices. * Challenging current working practices and finding ways to improve the design and effectiveness of internal controls. * Collecting and reviewing financial accounts and other data. * Proactively evaluating risks and internal controls against changing trends and market/economic conditions. * Sharing with process owners the results of the audit and agreeing appropriate corrective actions to remedy any non-conformances and the date by which the actions should be carried out. * Reviewing compliance, ensuring the organization is adhering to rules, codes or practice, business ethics, internal and external guidelines and principles. * Identifying ways in which the organization can deliver better value for money and service. * Advising and overseeing change programs. * Special projects as assigned by Senior Management or the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting * CPA or CIA certification * Public Accounting or Internal Audit background * Minimum of 5 years of experience of conducting financial audits * Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley * Strong oral and written English skills * Familiar with FCPA rules and guidelines * Travel will be required (25-30%).
