Job Description

SEASONAL OVERNIGHT NIGHT AUDITIOR: To oversee and coordinate all overnight front desk and audit function, execute computer maintenance requirements, and ensure all financial transactions for the day are verified and balanced.

Responsibilities

  • Expeditious and diplomatic resolution to guest complaints

  • Fully knowledgeable in Access and Go Concierge and Safelock

  • Fully knowledgeable in all emergency procedures

  • Ensure night shift operates in an efficient manner

  • Be knowledgeable and enact MOS standards.

  • All employees are required to fully comply with Omni rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel's facilities.

  • Review availability and prepare for walks in over sold situations.

  • Ensure all needed reports are run, review days postings

  • Complete express check outs

  • Complete parking report comparing it to the specials report and forward to the general cashier.

  • Post banquet charges and catering charges using specific related codes.

  • Print Specific Posting Journals per the night audit check list and distribute.

  • Continue training with all night audit associates.

  • Communicate with all department managers on a continuing basis. Especially the accounting department.

  • Conduct monthly night shift meetings.

  • Handle all guest complaints maintaining a satisfactory impression with the guest on resolving any Document all issues in manager's report.

  • Be very familiar with the hotel computer system for training maintenance and trouble shooting.

  • Transfer credit cards nightly and report troubles to the credit manager for resolution the next day.

  • Print Micro's reports and verify against Epitome postings

  • Complete rate discrepancy report and make needed changes.

  • Ensure blocked/assigned rooms for arrivals are for. V.I.P's, ESP's, Special Requests and establish a potential walk list in an oversold situation.

  • Complete credit check daily.

  • Adhere to all Systems & Controls of the accounting department and appropriate areas of responsibilities.

  • Assure knowledge and training of Marketing Programs of company and hotel.

  • Ensure a smooth operation for the overnight shift resolve and report any issues

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.

  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Must possess basic computational ability.

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 5 hours in length.

  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill certain tasks.

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.

  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

Qualifications

  • SEASONAL POSITION, OVERNIGHT

  • Previous luxury hotel experience is required.

  • Previous Front Office experience is required.

  • Customer service oriented, ability to multi-task, detail orientation, and excellent organizational skills needed.

  • Knowledge of the surrounding area and all of its attractions.

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Highly developed customer service skills; possessing a friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Proven ability to engage guests at all levels. Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging and personalized service.

  • Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.

  • Must possess the ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.

  • Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.

  • Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.

  • Must meet standards of appearance and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all time.

  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. Candidate must be comfortable speaking to guests. Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.

  • Computer literacy to include: Payroll systems, Microsoft Office, Property Management System
