Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Mine Planning Engineer, Surface Automation at Nevada Gold Mines. The successful candidate is responsiblel for the coordination of internal and external resources. Ensures project deliverables are met and the operational goals of the Autonomous Haulage implementation project are fulfilled. Responsible for the execution of tasks with adherence to the constraints of a project budget, and while coordinating with NGM Open Pit Operations, Technical Services, and Maintenance departments.

Responsibilities:
Develop and produce mine plans and operational scenarios to support Autonomous Haulage implementation operation at the Open Pit division(s).
Develop alternative mine plan scenarios and analyze project sensitivities throughout Nevada Gold Mines Open Pits.
Identify hazards in both the mining environment and those associated with the designs and plans created.
Provide project communication internally to various project stakeholders.
Participate in evaluation of all technology solutions regarding safety and health risk, production risk, and sustained feasibility.
Ensure a safe and environmentally responsible project implementation with all staff, consultants, and contractors.
Ensure adherence to the project budget, forecasts, and reporting cadences.
Assist project team in analyzing problems as assigned and help develop solutions to remediate.
Interface with operations staff and departments to obtain input and support of mine plans and designs.
Develop proposals and cost estimates, including required equipment, materials, personnel, and other peripheral services.
Develop resolutions to problems associated with mine plan design, engineering, and construction.
Communicate with members of the project team and collaborate with more senior engineers to adopt the most cost effective and efficient practices.
Ensure all project control procedures are implemented and compliant with company policy and standards.
Follow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions; to identify and mitigate risks, and to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
Other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Accredited post-secondary education (a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ Chemical/Mining or related field) will be considered as experience, amount depending on nature and extent. required
Two (2) years practical experience in technical services department within the mining environment required
Demonstrated safety leadership capability for both self and team rrequired
Excellent leadership, people, and communication skills to act as a "Change Agent"required
Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills, and analytical skills required
Demonstrated computer literacy and practical application of MS Office products including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with design and visualization software, scheduling software, and other commonly used mining software required
Ability to interface with other professionals and team members required
Familiar with project management and organizational skills including time management, leadership, and decision-making concepts required
Familiar with applicable engineering and peripheral codes, policies, standards, and best practices required
