Job Summary/Description:

WLBT is looking for a weekend anchor and MMJ to join our award-winning team. We are looking for a strong journalist with excellent news judgment and leadership skills. This is a chance to join the highest-rated news team in Mississippi. If you enjoy investigative reporting, you'll have that opportunity here with one of the largest investigative teams in the South.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Anchor evening newscasts on Saturdays and Sundays

• Help guide assignments on the weekends

• Shoot, write and edit content for the newscasts and our website

• Report live from the field for planned and breaking coverage

• Generate story ideas and build local contacts

Qualifications/Requirements:

• College degree in Journalism or equivalent work experience preferred

• 2+ years as an Anchor or MMJ in a newsroom preferred

• Must have strong news judgment

• Must have strong leadership skills and work well under pressure
