New/Renewed Loan Specialist (Full Time), Loan Services

FULL-TIME HOURLY (FT): These employees work from 30 to 40 hours each week and are paid on an hourly basis. They are eligible for the same benefits as salaried employees and paid time off is paid at 8 hours per day.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reviews all commercial and mortgage loan packages for accuracy, completing maintenance to loan system as necessary to ensure system meets structure and compliance requirements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma or GED (some post-secondary education is preferred).

• Minimum one year of loan servicing or related loan experience is strongly preferred.

• One year+ banking experience.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Self-motivated and detail oriented.

• Demonstrate accuracy, organization, and analytical skills.

• Good computer skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Processes new commercial and mortgage loans, letters of credit, renewals, modifications, and draws, reviews documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance and adds all non-uploaded loans to the loan system.

2.Establishes all participations, credit lines, insurance & UCC tracking, financial statements, and escrows in the loan system.

3.Spreads all participation draws, ensuring appropriate spreads based on participation agreements, legal lending limits, etc. and notifies affiliate banks, Funds Management and Financial Planning to ensure appropriate funding for affiliates.

4.Prepares financial statements and tax returns for document imaging.

5.Directs collateral documentation included in loan packages to appropriate Loan Services employee the same day it is received back from the post-closing review process.

6.Revises the loan system making corrections of errors discovered in the verification process, and updates the system accordingly.

7.Responds to e-mail and telephone requests from external and internal customers for loan pay-offs and general loan account inquiries, assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.

8.Follows up with lending staff on outstanding items from loan packages.

9.Completes maintenance on the loan system on various codes at the direction of Loan

10. Review or Loan Officers.

11. Cross-trains on other positions in department, substituting within the department as needed

12. Performs other duties as assigned.
