Role Summary:

This role is part of the healthcare engineering team, supporting new healthcare development projects. The purpose of this role is to manage new product introductions from the prototype phase through production tool commercialization. This role will work closely with the commercial team, customer service, design engineers, tool engineers, mold shop, process engineers, production, and quality in the early phases of product development for (New Product Introduction) NPI. This role will be customer-facing, providing direct support to the commercial team. This role will provide guidance to development projects, monitor progress, communicate internally and externally regarding key deliverables, and proactively address issues.

Accountable to:

  • Successfully guide all new product development projects from the prototype phase into commercialization by working closely with the healthcare commercial team, customer, design, production, and quality resources.

  • Develops project timelines in collaboration with other departments.

  • Provide project management and status updates to stakeholders.

  • Works to complete projects within scheduling restraints.

  • Professionally handling customer interactions representing the company.

  • Ensure data accuracy, security, required documentation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Coordinate validation plan development and execution in collaboration with customer, quality, process engineering, and design engineering.

  • Work closely with design engineering, commercial team, quality, and process engineering to ensure parts meet customer specifications.

  • Looks for opportunities to optimize the project management process and standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering/industrial technology or a related field is preferred.

  • 2-3 years of hands-on industry experience

  • Strong project management skills

  • Highly organized

  • Attention to detail is crucial.

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization and directly with customers including interpersonal, verbal and written communications.

  • Team player who is comfortable working in a collaborative environment.

  • Must model the highest degree of moral and ethical behavior.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the following topics:

  • SPC and data analysis

  • Thermoforming and mold-making experience

  • Solid works design software

  • Thermoform Tooling

  • Sheet Extrusion

  • Thermoformed plastic materials

  • Experience and understanding of the healthcare market space: medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and drug delivery.
