Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

  • 4 years or more of practical industry experience

  • Superb organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency with CAD design software

  • Solid grasp of mechanical engineering concepts and methods

  • Proficiency with laboratory debugging tools

  • Basic electronics skills and familiarity with cabling and looms

  • Ability to thrive in a small multidisciplinary group and collaborate with international colleagues

Desired experience:

  • Familiarity with optics and opto-mechanical assemblies

  • Experience with CREO CoCreate or Siemens NX

Agilent's California Research Center is looking for a versatile mechanical design engineer to support the invention and commercialization of new scientific instruments. We need your talent as a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving a diverse array of challenges. As an important part of a small team, you will have the opportunity to

  • Perform CAD design of parts and assemblies for prototype spectroscopic instruments

  • Create drawings, procure parts and work with vendors for fabrication

  • Assemble and troubleshoot your designs in the lab

  • Collaborate with hardware quality engineers to meet regulatory and safety requirements

  • Document designs and develop work instructions and best practices with manufacturing partners

  • Continuously improve designs for performance, robustness, and ease of manufacturing and service

  • Create, design, and procure electrical looms and debug minor electrical problems

  • Troubleshoot and adapt to new issues as they are discovered in our lab and by customers

What you get to do in this role: * As an engineer of the Application Security Team, you will be ensuring the applications used and created by ServiceNow are secure. You will work with internal development teams to review source code and pentest custom functionality built on top of the ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will be responsible for interacting with customers that perform security assessments against their ServiceNow instance. You will also assess security risks of 3rdparty vendors by performing penetration testing on applications hosted within ServiceNow, as well as in the vendor's infrastructure. A key part of this position is to effectively report issues to the application owners, provide meaningful remediation recommendations, and validate that they have been resolved. In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has: * An analytical mind for problem solving, abstract thought, and offensive security tactics. * 5+ years of direct experience coding in one or more of the following languages: * JavaScript (Preferred) * Java * Python * PHP * 5+ years of experience pentesting and advanced knowledge of: * Custom web applications * Complex cloud environments * Web services (REST & SOAP) * Experience in mobile app testing a plus. * In-depth experience with common web application vulnerabilities (i.e. OWASP Top 10). * Experience with common security tools, such as nmap, vulnerability scanners, and Burp Suite. * Ability to articulate complex issues to executives and customers. * Ability to pass a practical examination.
