Essential Duties include

  • Responsible for entire new items process of assigned skus; including accurate set up in ERP system, New Item Report updates/distribution and successful customer rollout.

  • Negotiate and maintain delivery schedule with the factory and monitor Potential Late Shipment reports to ensure needed ETD's are met.

  • Review all new items status and input requests and changes onto the weekly Critical Customer Requirements report, as required.

  • Review weekly Potential Late Shipment report and advise Customer Support and Manager of critical issue.

  • Responsible for all factory communication surrounding assigned new items: includes analyzing DRP forecast for new items and determine if additional purchase orders should be placed, negotiate improved ETD dates and defer or cancel

  • Recommend solutions on new items to resolve availability, scheduling, shipping, receiving, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Some college coursework in business related field preferred.

  • 1 to 2 years of buying or planning experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.

  • APICS course experience preferred; APICS certification preferred.

  • Working knowledge of an order-entry system and MRP systems required; Apprise experience preferred.

  • Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.

  • Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate solid organizational skills.

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of Meyer personnel and various factory personnel.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats.

  • Must possess demonstrated experience in problem-solving and time management skills and the ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.

  • Must possess the mental and physical capacities to perform the job duties.

The Production Planner will coordinate and manage the conversion of product demand into an executable production schedule for their assigned products in a high mix/ low volume aerospace manufacturing environment. They will provide production planning and control support to meet customer expectations and business metrics and objectives. Job Duties: * Prepare a production plan analyzing sales orders, forecasts, contract and technical requirements. Create and manage executable production schedule in SAP MRP in alignment with material and capacity availability and constraints. Work cross functionally to address and resolve problems such as capacity constraints, scheduling conflicts, material availability/allocation, WIP rework and documentation changes. * Convert MRP planned orders into production orders, creating and releasing the associated work order packets to the shop floor. Monitor and support work order flow through completion. * Review and provide input to drawings, manufacturing and test documents, and site standard procedures and processes as needed. * Provide input to Bid & Proposal Team for their responses to customer RFQ's. Experiences / Qualifications: A passion for ownership of assignments and fulfilling of customer expectations. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. High degree of initiative, personal responsibility, ability to plan, and to be well organized. Ability to establish effective working relationships. Good verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, focus on Excel. Preferred: MRP experience, SAP a plus. One or more years' experience in an Aerospace related Production Planning manufacturing environment.
