Essential Duties include
Responsible for entire new items process of assigned skus; including accurate set up in ERP system, New Item Report updates/distribution and successful customer rollout.
Negotiate and maintain delivery schedule with the factory and monitor Potential Late Shipment reports to ensure needed ETD's are met.
Review all new items status and input requests and changes onto the weekly Critical Customer Requirements report, as required.
Review weekly Potential Late Shipment report and advise Customer Support and Manager of critical issue.
Responsible for all factory communication surrounding assigned new items: includes analyzing DRP forecast for new items and determine if additional purchase orders should be placed, negotiate improved ETD dates and defer or cancel
Recommend solutions on new items to resolve availability, scheduling, shipping, receiving, etc.
Some college coursework in business related field preferred.
1 to 2 years of buying or planning experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
APICS course experience preferred; APICS certification preferred.
Working knowledge of an order-entry system and MRP systems required; Apprise experience preferred.
Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.
Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate solid organizational skills.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of Meyer personnel and various factory personnel.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats.
Must possess demonstrated experience in problem-solving and time management skills and the ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
Must possess the mental and physical capacities to perform the job duties.
