Position Summary

The Aquatics Swim Instructor teaches the Life Time Swim lesson curriculum to both adults and children. They ensure the safety of our swimmers, evaluating members swimming abilities to determine the correct swim level, and developing positive relationships. When needed, they assist in cleaning the Aquatics Facilities and helping members.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greets, acknowledges, engages, and interacts with members at all times

  • Teaches members of all ages how to swim in a safe, fun, and inviting environment

  • Initiates, develops and maintains positive relationships with participants

  • Promotes all Life Time programs, products and services

Position Requirements

  • Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Requirements

  • Swim Lesson Instructor or Coaching Experience

  • 1 year of customer service experience

  • Red Cross CPR-PR, Lifeguard, and First Aid

  • Life Time Swim Lesson Certification upon hire

Location Information Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in a person's own home or in one of our five Twin Cities communities: New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, Robbinsdale and Woodbury. In addition, the Residence at Saint Therese of New Hope houses 225 independent apartments and suites for assisted living and memory care. Responsibilities The Human Resource Generalist will provide day to day developmental and administrative human resource support and employee relations (to interpret and administer human resource policies and procedures in a fair, equitable and efficient manner). Will also provide oversight and coordination in the areas of administrative human resource systems and employee relation services campus wide as well as key assigned functional areas. Will conduct onboarding sessions for new employees. Will ensure that Human Resource policies, benefits and other relevant information are clearly and fully explained. Will ensure that all new hire paperwork is properly completed and submitted for payroll or H.R. processing in a timely manner. Will ensure Company compliance with existing legal employment requirements both individually and through communication and training of department and location managers. Will work closely with managers and supervisors to address and resolve employee relation concerns in a timely, consistent, and responsive manner. Will assist management in resolving employee complaints and grievances and assist with steps of constructive discipline and disciplinary issues. Must be an active member of the Safety Committee along with other company committees. This position will report to the Human Resources Manager. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field Experience: 3-5 years HR Generalist experience; Experience in non-profit or health care related field a plus; Labor Relations/Union experience Special knowledge, skills and abilities: * Proficient and knowledgeable in multiple human resource disciplines including compensation and benefits practices, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, federal and state employment laws, training and development * Strong communication skills, including listening, writing, presenting, facilitating, coaching and leading. * Ability to work as part of a team and to work effectively with all departments and senior management. * Excellent MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. * Able to demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities. * Experience in interpreting and applying department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations. * Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local rules and regulations. * Effective time management, prioritization and problem solving skills.
