What we are looking for: M.S. Walker has an immediate opening for a NH Brand Manager. Responsibilities include managing the development and performance of advancing an assigned portfolio of brands within the market. The Brand Manager should also maintain the long-term best interests of M.S. Walker while fostering the companys supplier relationships and administering to our mutually agreed upon goals and objectives.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Communicate all pricing, strategies, and tactics in a timely manner to pertinent audiences, including: Senior Management, Purchasing, Receiving, Sales Personnel and Administration, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Marketing, and Corporate Offices
  • Maintain your portfolios profitability through analysis, tracking, and promotional events
  • Sustain and enhance supplier relations through frequent direct dialogue
  • Provide a detailed product and product category information, a consultative sales role in and out of house, as well as formal and informal Wine & Spirit education to MSW Sales Personnel and customers
  • Thoroughly perform all necessary follow up with particular attention to the time sensitive concerns that impact other company departments, customers, and suppliers
  • Maintain inventory control and take appropriate action when current turn levels are not in compliance
  • Channel supplier press reviews, new vintage release, market data, new package designs, and technical information for sales support materials, POS, and for general resource purposes
  • Work with MS Walker creative services to provide sales support materials to the salesforce
  • Possess in depth knowledge of suppliers products along with a very good understanding of the competitive category
  • Must be current with Industry trends with particular attention to developments that affect their suppliers and their categories
  • Coordinate wine tastings and dinners directly and supplier involvement when available
  • Market work with key customers and salespeople

Requirements

Who you are: The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities in order to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelors degree; Advanced Degree helpful
  • Minimum 5+ years wholesaler/ supplier management experience
  • Significant experience promoting, merchandising, communicating products
  • Proficient with technology to include use of: Microsoft Suite, Constant Contact, Diver, Smart Term/ Navision/ Sapphire.
  • Able to multi-task, meet deadlines and thrive in a demanding environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Travel required, domestic and international

Ability to perform the essential duties listed in the QSR Representative job description Ability to substitute for the QSR Manager when he/she is unavailable (i.e. vacation, meetings, etc.). Ability to work as scheduled and arrive on time. A valid driver's license. Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities and work in the conditions described below. Has completed the Safety lesson. Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English. Essential Duties Performs and trains all duties of the Customer QSR Representative positions. Provides training assistance to new QSR Representatives. Prepares the daily bookkeeping, invoicing, and data. Completes daily banking. Troubleshoots daily close out and shift sales analysis. Provides prompt, courteous customer service and professionally resolves customer issues. Distinguishes between qualified and unqualified applicants for employment, offering recommendations for applicant interviews. Conducts performance and disciplinary discussions in QSR Manager's absence. Assumes QSR Manager responsibilities when required for by business necessity. Develops employee work schedules for Store Manager approval. Once approved, finalizes, transmits, and processes weekly time and attendance records and payroll. Performs other duties as assigned by the QSR Manager. Ensures all marketing programs are executed per guidelines. Working Conditions Perform approximately 95% of all work indoors. Exposures to occasional cold temperature extremes while performing occasional work in a walk in cooler and/or freezer. Exposure to occasional noise. Work with a minimum direction and periodic supervision. Physical Functions Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes of workday (i.e., assisting in stocking/maintaining inventory levels). Ability to lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level (i.e., to replenish fountain syrups). Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds (i.e., utilizing a hand-truck). Ability to bend at waist with some twisting up to one hour of workday. Ability to grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands up to all day. (This work requires eye-hand coordination, and may require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs.)
