What does a project engineer do?
Chemical facilities reinvest some of their earnings backinto the plants. Some of these investments include: upgrading existing equipment, construction ofequipment to comply with new regulations, construction of projects to expandplant capacity, and installation of equipment to save the company money. Projectengineers work throughout the lifecycle of these investments. They interfacewith multiple engineering disciplines throughout the design, construction,commissioning, and closure of a project. Project engineers will develop bidpackages, quotes for equipment, and work packages for project construction.
What does a project engineer need to do to be successful atAdvanSix?
Prove they can balance multiple projects withcompeting priorities and deadlines
Show they're able to manage ambiguity,vagueness, and uncertainties
Be a social engineer who can collaborate withengineers from different disciplines and functional areas (e.g. engineering,finance, operations, supply chain, business development)

Be able to identify and solve problems toabsolute completion
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering,Civil Engineer or Construction Management
Experience with developing project schedules(e.g. Gantt charts)
Hands-on experience with chemical processingequipment
Experience working outside of the office and inthe field
