AdvanSix, Inc. is seekingto fill multiple entry level process engineering positions for graduates in thespring of 2019

Locations include the

Richmond, VA or Philadelphia, PA areas. Come work at a global company thatproduces billions of pounds per year of chemicals ranging from solvents tofertilizers to polymers.

What does a project engineer do?

Chemical facilities reinvest some of their earnings backinto the plants. Some of these investments include: upgrading existing equipment, construction ofequipment to comply with new regulations, construction of projects to expandplant capacity, and installation of equipment to save the company money. Projectengineers work throughout the lifecycle of these investments. They interfacewith multiple engineering disciplines throughout the design, construction,commissioning, and closure of a project. Project engineers will develop bidpackages, quotes for equipment, and work packages for project construction.

What does a project engineer need to do to be successful atAdvanSix?

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering,Civil Engineer or Construction Management

  • Experience with developing project schedules(e.g. Gantt charts)

  • Hands-on experience with chemical processingequipment

  • Organizing information

  • Experience working outside of the office and inthe field

POSITION OVERVIEW (2-Year Project Employee w/Benefits) This position is a project role and will be approximately 2 years in length with anticipated end date of January 15, 2020. The Software Engineer will be joining a project already underway and will be supplementing existing staff on the project team. The primary areas of focus will be in enhancements and system support; Integration development; on-going operational support issues/bug fixes. Job Summary * Join our Application Design & Development team as software Engineer to help design and develop custom applications. * Collaborate with IT and Business partners and translate business specification into a cohesive software design and implementation. * Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work by tight deadlines. * Provided unit testing to ensure quality builds in a continuous integration environment. * Ideal candidate will have a full-stack development background with a strong development experience in Java.
