Summary

Mercy Medical Center, a leader in the Maryland Nurse Residency Collaborative, offers a 12 month Nurse residency Program (NRP) designed to provide orientation, support, mentorship and education for the new graduate nurse. The nurse resident will benefit from comprehensive and individualized attention that focuses on opportunities for enhanced clinical and leadership skills, as well as continual professional development.

Since 2002 the NRP has provided health care organizations with a transition-to-practice program for new graduate nurses. This transition to competent nursing practice is supported by evidence-based curriculum that is customized to reflect the values and mission of Mercy Medical Center, access to content experts, and participation in an evidence-based practice (EBP) project.
