The New Business Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day management of new business opportunities and internal agency projects. Effectively executes pitch process, problem-solves, and develops solid relationships across the agency and network. Also assists the Marketing & Communications Director on internal and external marketing initiatives that support agency growth.

The New Business Specialistwill be responsible for the day-to-day management of new business opportunities and internal agency projects. Manages/coordinates net new pitches from planning to completion. Also responsible for internal agency projects and new business pipeline understanding and maintenance. Effectively executes pitch process, problem-solves, and develops solid relationships across the agency and network. Also assists the Marketing & Communications Director on internal and external marketing initiatives that support agency growth.

Personality Traits:This person must be a go-getter that is slightly competitive, bring experience but willing to roll up sleeves and do everything needed to help a pitch run smoothly, this could include support functions such as logistic planning. This person ideally has an interest in Marketing and in being a key player in bringing the agency's brand and culture to life.

Key qualities/Skills:

  • A bachelors degree in Business or Communications with 2-3 years work experience in advertising or a related field

  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • An industrious spirit, thinks on their feet and is solutions oriented

  • Entrepreneurial, agile and able to move fast, juggle across projects, efficiently manage timelines and deadlines

  • Collaborative, team player mentality with an ability to function in a diverse cultural environment

Business Development (75%)

  • Assist NB Director to establish, develop and maintain relationships with consultants, new business prospects and other influential third parties (comms, events, outreach)

  • Manage prospect database and analyze prospects for new business approaches

  • Prepare RFI and RFP submissions

  • Prepare creative show reels, video cases and submissions

  • Prepare credentials materials and presentation

  • Assist with New Business Budget management

  • Owns new business pipeline manage

  • Understand and own new business process

Marketing for Havas Chicago Group (25%)

  • Support external and internal marketing initiatives for the agency, including the production of internal events, brand communications, and marketing content and collateral

  • Assist Marketing Director to manage the agency's website and social media accounts

  • Assist Marketing Director to develop thought leadership content for executives

  • Act as an internal brand ambassador who helps to deliver agency culture
