Responsible for processing new business applications and handling agent support regarding the application process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

• Assumes responsibility for processing applications.

• Sorts, organizes, and distributes incoming applications.

• Scrubs inbound applications to ensure each is complete and correct.

• Scrubs the Scope of Appointment to ensure each is complete and correct.

• Works with the agents, or the agent's hierarchy, to resolve any errors or omissions to applications.

• Keys application information into appropriate carrier website or faxes application to appropriate carrier.

• Keys application information into RAMS Submissions if applicable.

• Verifies receipt of each application by the carrier. Saves and/or uploads verification confirmations as necessary.

• Assumes responsibility for agent support.

• Provides customer service to agents via phone, email and in person as necessary.

• Creates Service Requests (SRs) as needed to track and handle agent issues.

• Communicates with carriers to resolve agent issues.

• Communicates with the Lead, Quality assurance reps, and Manager as needed on escalated issues.

• Provides full circle customer service to verify agent issues are properly and thoroughly addressed.

• Assumes responsibility for various cross-training assignments.

• Assists with processing contracting and licensing as necessary.

• Assists with additional agent support as necessary.

• Assists with verifying Ready to sell status for agents.

• Assumes responsibility for training new hires, temporary employees, and cross-training current staff as needed. Assumes responsibility for special projects as needed. Assumes responsibility for miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor. The ability to work weekends from home as scheduled OR required. (Flexible)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Basic understanding of insurance and agent relationship.

• Knowledge of New Business operations and procedures.

• One year customer service experience and/or data entry experience.

• One- year experience with Microsoft Office.

• Good communication skills, especially over the phone.

• Good computer and typing skills.

• Good customer service skills.

• Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including email, copy machine, scanner, fax machine, and telephone.

• Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.

• Maintains a good Quality expectation on all New business competencies.
