Performs high-quality clinical practices and effective patient management by providing safe and competent care to all neurosurgical, interventional neuro-radiology and neuroscience patients. Demonstrates technical expertise by assisting physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Demonstrates teamwork by communicating effectively and working cooperatively with all members of the health care team. Displays respect for and appreciation for the contribution from all team members in order to foster positive working relationships. Participates in Quality/Best Practice initiatives by utilizing standards and guidelines for cost-effective care delivery in order to continuously improve patient care and enhance outcomes.
Experience:Minimum one year of relevant neurosciences PA or spine surgery experience or spine surgery experience; preferred experience with first assistant in the OR Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; experience working with a team of physician assistants and multidisciplinary teams, working with administration on patient satisfaction, and decreasing the LOS Training:candidate should demonstrate technical expertise by assisting physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures candidate must show references reflecting technical expertise from program that he/ she trained candidate should be able to perform high quality clinical practices and effective patient management by providing safe and competent care to all neurosurgical patients.
Certification:BLS & ACLS Certification NCCPA Board Certified. Maintains necessary CME requirements as outlined by the NCCPA. BLS; ACLS if critical care Licensure:Current Virginia License.
